Social Responsibility
Today, corporate social responsibility has moved far beyond the traditional system of one time philanthropy and has instead become an all year round responsibility that companies accept for the environment around them, the best working practices and for their local communities. Brand names no longer depend only on quality, price and uniqueness but also on how, cumulatively, they interact with a given company's workforce, community and environment. We see CSR as a company's contribution to sustainable development.
Right since its inception in 1990, PBC has undertaken a variety of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. The most significant among these is environment protection.
The PBC Art Gallery, a non-profit initiative, is used as a medium to further the environmental cause. All proceeds from the Art Gallery are directed towards conservation efforts. We are also a participant to the UN Global Compact, and fully support its nine principles, which address Human Rights, Labour Rights and Environment.
PBC makes every effort to minimise indoor air pollution at its facility. We use green plants to increase oxygen content in the building's ambient air and lower the level of harmful gases such as carbon monoxide. As a result, PBC's Indoor Air Quality is the freshest in town.
