Bhuwan Varma was born in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, in 1903. Working as an art teacher in Bombay, he taught many of the well-known painters of Bombay and Baroda. He died in the late seventies. As art was not given so much importance then, the limelight eluded Varma during his life. He was a painter with a different technique.
