Ram was active in Maharashtra and trained under the guidance of late A.R.Chughtai. He was a famous miniature painter and trained in the wash technique as well. There was a group of artists active in the late fifties in Mumbai, of which he was a part. Ram was one of the founder members of Jehangir Art Gallery. He died in 1973 in Thane, Maharashtra.
