One of the greatest painters of the country of his time. He was world renowned for his pahadi paintings. He was born in Jammu in 1902 and died in 1995. His works are available to see in Jammu & Kashmir museum. He was awarded with Padma Shri in 1989 and was most respected artist of Jammu & Kashmir. He was invited to London for his participation in an exhibition in Victoria Albert Museum.
