Although he dabbled in photography throughout his youth, it wasn’t until digital photography came of age that Bill Bartlett began to pursue his part-time hobby seriously. For an itinerant diplomat with out reliable access to a darkroom, the ability to enhance and manipulate photos via computer now provides a means to control photographic output in a way that was never before possible. This creative liberation, together with access to the boundless diversity of India’s scenes and people, has turned an occasional pastime into a passion.
