This Exhibition is a joint effort by the Romanian Embassy and PBC Art Gallery.

Mr. Ditpo Narayan Chatterjee had been to Romania in October 2005 for a solo Exhibition. This trip was co-sponsored by H.E. Mr. Vasile Sofineti, Ambassador of Romania and Mr. Kamal Meattle, CEO of PBC Art Gallery.

Dipto is currently doing a series on Romania, which will be on display in June 2006. The first painting from this series will also be on display at this Exhibition.

The Exhibition is a unique collection of art to view and a great opportunity to collect.

He is a contemporary artist who presents his creation in paperboard mixed media. His technique combines collage & adornment paintings, he has evolved his own style through experimentations. In fact 'paintings appear to him as manifestations of affinity & love'.

Feelings are conveyed on the canvas through colours, structures & forms and sometimes-self experiences. Paintings to him are an instinct. At an early age a lot of acrid-sweet experiences came his way. His experiences, feelings & relationships are mirrored on the canvas.

The exhibition will showcase 67 works of the artist.
